Men’s Basketball Looks to Bounce Back against TLU

SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word men's basketball team will take on the Texas Lutheran (TLU) Bulldogs on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the McDermott Center. Later in the week, the team will travel to Indiana for a game against Valparaiso University on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. CT.

The Cardinals are coming off two tough losses in the first week of the season and are looking to bounce back against TLU. UIW is 5-0 all-time against the Bulldogs and won their last matchup in 2019 by a score of 86-60.
 
TLU has started the season 2-1 and is coming off of a thrilling overtime win against McMurray. Texas Lutheran had a 10-15 overall record last season and went 8-8 in conference play finishing fourth in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
 
Valparaiso had a 14-18 season last year to finish seventh in the Valley Conference. With their two top scorers, Ben Krikke and Kobe King, returning to the team the Knights have started the season 1-1. This game against the Cardinals will be the last home game for nearly a month as they return home for a conference game against Murray State.
