CHICAGO – The University of the Incarnate Word football team is ranked No. 25 on the Stats Perform FCS Poll as announced on Monday afternoon.  
 
UIW (2-0, 2-0 SLC) makes its first appearance in the poll, this season after receiving votes in the after its 48-20 season-opening win against McNeese.  
 
The Cardinals are coming off a 42-20 road win against Lamar, after which Kevin Brown received Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week and Cameron Ward was named FCS National Freshman Player of the Week by Stats FCS.  
 
UIW returns to action with its home opener against Southeastern Louisiana at Benson Stadium on Saturday, March 20 slated for a 2 p.m. (CT) kickoff.
