SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word women's basketball team hosts future WAC opponent Tarleton State University (TSU) on Wednesday, Dec. 22, at 2 p.m. CT.
 
THE LAST TIME THEY MET

• The Cardinals and Texans last met on Feb. 16, 2013.
• TSU is 7-0 in the series history.
   

UIW

• The Cardinals are 4-4 on the season, coming off a 61-55 victory over University of California, Riverside.
• The UC Riverside win moves UIW into second place in the current Southland Conference women's basketball standings. 
• Jaaucklyn Moore continues to lead the Cardinal offense, averaging 18.3 points per game.
• Destiny Jenkins has 22 steals on the season and is the second leading scorer for UIW with 8.6 points per contest.
• Destiny Terrell is the Cardinals' leading rebounder with 4.9 per game.

 
TSU

• The Texans are 7-3 on the season.
• Iyana Dorsey leads TSU in scoring, averaging 10.3 points per game.
• Seynabou Thiam has 28 blocks on the season and is the team's leading rebounder with 7.3 per contest.
• Thiam and Malaya Kendrick are each contributing eight points per game for TSU.

 
UP NEXT
The Cardinals travel to Texas Tech University on Wednesday, Dec. 29, at 7 p.m. This will be the last game of 2021 before UIW competes in the Southland Basketball Tip-Off on Jan. 3, 2022.
