SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word women's basketball team has added a game and will host the University of California, Riverside (UCR) on Sunday at 2 p.m.
The Cardinals were previously scheduled to travel to TCU on Sunday, but that contest has been canceled due to COVID-related concerns within the Horned Frog program.
THE LAST TIME THEY MET
- This will be the first matchup for the Cardinals and Highlanders.
UIW
- The Cardinals are 3-4 on the season.
- Following a career-high 30-point performance against the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV), Jaaucklyn Moore continues to lead UIW, averaging 18.3 points per game.
- Destiny Jenkins leads the Cardinal defense with 21 steals on the season, averaging 3.6 per game.
- Destiny Terrell is contributing 5.1 rebounds per game and Chloe Storer has 16 assists on the season.
UC Riverside
- The Highlanders are 3-2 on the season with wins over Pacific, California Lutheran University and University of Antelope Valley.
- UC Riverside has two student-athletes averaging double figures. Keilanei Cooper leads the team in scoring with 14.7 points per game and Jordan Webster contributes 10.3 points per contest.
- Daphne Gnago leads the team in rebounds with 6.6 per game.

The Cardinals will be back at the McDermott Center on Wednesday, Dec. 22, at 2 p.m. against future WAC opponent Tarleton State.
