SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word men's basketball team hosts Grambling State University (GSU) on Saturday, Dec. 11. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at the McDermott Center.

- This will be the first time these two programs meet.
UIW
- The Cardinals began the month of December splitting a pair of games.
- UIW defeated the Saints of Our Lady of the Lady, 93-66, on Dec. 1.
- The Cardinals then battled against the Wildcats of Abilene Christian University but ultimately fell, 98-65, on Dec. 4.
GSU
- Grambling travels to San Antonio with a 3-6 overall record.
- The Tigers defeated Jarvis Christian College, 71-44, on Dec. 2.
- GSU then headed to Storrs, Connecticut, to face UConn. The Tigers fell to the Huskies, 88-59, on Dec. 4.
UIW PLAYERS TO WATCH
- Robert "RJ" Glasper leads UIW offense with 117 points scored this season. He tallied a season-high 23 against Abilene Christian on Dec. 4.
- Johnny Hughes III leads the Cardinals in rebounds with 57, blocks with six, and ranks second in most points scored this season with 111.
- Drew Lutz leads UIW at the line with 35 made free throws. Lutz is also the third Cardinal to score above 100 points so far this season (102).
- Benjamin Griscti leads UIW behind the arc with 20 3-pointers.
