SAN ANTONIO – University of the Incarnate Word's volleyball team travels to Katy, Texas, to face off against No. 8 University of New Orleans on Thursday in its first match of the Southland Conference Tournament. The Cardinals head into the tournament as the fifth seed, the highest spot in program history.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
- UIW's outside hitter Bethany Clapp leads the Cardinal offense with 288 kills in 90 sets played. Clapp's versatility is a key contribution to the Cardinal offense. She tallied 15 assists, 30 service aces, 34 blocks and 248 digs in the regular season.
- UNO's Trinity Jackson leads the Privateer offense with 195 kills in 75 sets played this season.
- UIW's Macy Sumrall leads the Cardinal defense with 423 digs on the season.
- UNO's Sheilah Purcell leads the Privateers defense, totaling 340 digs on the season.
