SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word football program has added 21 games against 13 non-conference opponents through the 2027 season, announced interim Athletics Director
Richard Duran on Thursday. The schedule includes five home-and-home series, one four-game series and seven solo matchups.

NOTES
- The Cardinals are set to face Prairie View A&M (2021 and 2022), Southern Illinois (2022 and 2024), Northern Colorado (2023 and 2024), Samford (2025 and 2026) and Southern Utah (2025 and 2027) in home-and-home contests.
- The series against PVAMU, Southern Illinois and Southern Utah start in Benson Stadium, and the meetings against Northern Colorado and Samford begin on the road.
- UIW has a four-game series against Northern Arizona starting in 2024. The games will be in Benson Stadium in 2024 and 2027, while the matchups in 2025 and 2026 are slated for NAU's Walkup Skydome.
- The Cardinals will have first-time contests against nine of the 12 opponents: at Baylor (2020), vs. Presbyterian (2020), at Youngstown State (2021), Southern Illinois (2022 and 2024), at Nevada (2022), Northern Colorado (2023-24), vs. Robert Morris (2023), Northern Arizona (2024-27), Samford (2025-26) and Southern Utah (2025 and 2027).
- Baylor finished the 2019 season with an 11-3 overall record, which included a trip to the Big 12 Championship game (L, 30-23 (OT) to No. 6 Oklahoma) and an appearance in the Allstate Sugar Bowl (L, 26-14 to No. 5 Georgia).
- The Cardinals will meet PVAMU, Texas State and UTEP each for the second time in program history.
