SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word football game at Arkansas State on Saturday has been canceled due to COVID-19-related issues making the Cardinals unable to play.
Â
"Although we were excited for this game, the health and safety of the student-athletes at both UIW and Arkansas State were the number one priority," said Athletic Director
Richard Duran. "Thank you to Athletic Director Terry Mohajir and the entire Arkansas State staff for working with us on this."
Â
The Cardinals open the Spring 2021 season on Feb. 20 when they host Sam Houston State in Benson Stadium. Game times for the spring are TBD.
