SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word men's tennis team announced Thursday its slate of games for the 2020 season, featuring matchups with opponents from three different Power 5 conferences, elite mid-major programs and the always-challenging Southland Conference schedule.
 
The Cardinals open the season with a trip to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for a multi-team event hosted by LSU, who UIW will play six hours after its season opener against VCU on Jan. 19.
 
The schedule includes showdowns with three San Antonio schools: vs. Our Lady of the Lake on Jan. 24, at UTSA on Feb. 19, and vs. Trinity on March 20.
 
UIW scheduled some of the toughest competition in the nation, facing powerhouses No. 25 Oklahoma and No. 11 Texas A&M back-to-back in Norman and College Station, respectively. 
 
Southland Conference play begins when UIW hosts Lamar on March 28 at the newly resurfaced Mabry Tennis Center.
