SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word football team is set to kick off the 2019 home season on Saturday. In preparation for games at Benson Stadium, please review the information below.

General Information
- Tailgating will open five (5) hours prior to kick off to valid tailgate credential holders only.
- The ticket box office will open 4 hours prior to kick off.
- Gates will open 1.5 hours prior to kick off.
- Cardinals Club will open 1.5 hours prior to kick off.
- The UIW Fan Zone will open 1.5 hours prior to kick off.

UIW Fan Zone
- The UIW Fan Zone will open 1.5 hours prior to kick off.
- The Fan Zone is a family-friendly area at all home games where there will be a bounce house, an obstacle course and so much more.
- The Fan Zone is located in the parking lot between the football field and the tennis courts.

Cardinals Club
- Cardinals Club will open 1.5 hours before the game.
- The Cardinals Club tent is located behind the southeast end zone.
- Fans are able to join the Cardinals Club on game day and throughout the season. Donations are tax deductible after benefits.

Parking
- Parking lots open at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday.
- Parking is cash only and is $10 per car.

The safety of our student-athletes, fans and staff members is our top priority. The University of the Incarnate Word has implemented a clear bag policy. Please see image below for more information.

Tailgating Pricing and Info
- Non-RV: $250/season or $50/game
- RV's: $400/season or $75/game
- A Non-RV tailgate space is equal to roughly two parking spaces whereas an RV designated tailgate space is equal to roughly four parking spaces.
- The tailgate area is located in the parking lot in front of the Ann Barshop Natatorium.
- Tailgate sales will be shut off one (1) week in advance of each game.
General Tailgating Rules
- Each tailgate space, including RV's will include: one (1) tailgate credential, to be displayed on one sole vehicle/RV at all times. Multiple vehicles will not be allowed entry. Each vehicle must be contained within assigned space with the appropriate tailgate pass. Failure to display a tag is subject to removal at owner's expense.
- No tailgate drop-offs will be allowed. To gain access to the tailgate area, you must have a tailgate placard.
- UIW reserves the right to restrict any vehicle or person for reasons of safety.
- Violation of any guidelines may result in removal from UIW grounds. Failure to cooperate with UIW Athletics Department staff and/or other security officials may result in forfeiture of ALL tailgating privileges without a refund.
- Tailgating will open five (5) hours prior to kick off to valid tailgate credential holders only.
- Tailgaters will be responsible for providing their own tents, chairs, ice, BBQ tents, etc. UIW will not be held responsible for any lost or stolen items.
- Solicitation and the sale of merchandise is strictly prohibited without permission from UIW Athletics.
- All tents located in tarmac tailgate spots must be secured with sandbags or like objects. Tent spikes may be used if tent is placed in a grass/dirt area.
- Consumption of alcohol will be limited to those 21 years of age and older.
- Glass containers are strictly prohibited.
- Electricity will not be provided by UIW Athletics. Personal portable generators should be used and placed in the least disturbing place of the tailgate.
- All tailgates are encouraged to have fire extinguishers within their space. In case of fire or other emergency, contact UIW Campus Police at (210) 829-6030.
- Music must be confined to each individual tailgate. UIW Athletics has sole discretion of determining the proper volume level of music.
- Propane and charcoal grills are permitted in valid tailgate areas only. Coals must be disposed of properly at one of the hot coal bins located near the Ann Barshop Natatorium.
- No open flames or tailgating of any sort will be allowed in parking garages, parking areas, or other parts of campus. Tailgating may only take place in the designated tailgate area, and must be reserved in advance through the UIW Athletics Ticket office.
- Grills can be setup no closer than 25 feet from any building or from any flammable liquid or solid.
