LUBBOCK, Texas – The University of the Incarnate Word volleyball team is set for the Texas Tech Red Raider Classic on Friday-Saturday. They will face UTEP (Friday at 3 p.m. CT), tournament host Texas Tech (Saturday at 1 p.m.) and Houston (Saturday at 5 p.m.).

THE CARDINALS
- UIW holds a 4-7 record following a 3-0 loss at UTSA on Tuesday.
- Bethany Clapp leads the Cardinals with 123 kills and has 14 aces.
- Pilar Gonzaba has a team-high 242 assists, while Alyssa Carlin has a team-best 154 digs.
- As a team, the Cardinals have 56 aces and 72 blocks.

UTEP
- Earlier this season, the Cardinals fell in the fifth set (3-2) to the Miners at the I-10 Challenge in Louisiana.
- The Miners are 5-5 this season, with one of those wins being against UIW at the I-10 Challenge. Their most recent win came in the form of a 3-0 victory over Montana to close out a 1-2 outing at the Montana Invitational on Sept. 13-14.
- Cheyenne Jones leads UTEP with 93 kills and has a .228 attack percentage.
- The Miners are led by Head Coach Ben Wallis, who is in his first season.

- Texas Tech holds a 7-4 overall record after a 3-0 victory over Abilene Christian on Sept. 16.
- The Red Raiders are led by Emily Hill, who has 210 kills to go along with a .279 attack percentage.
- Tony Graystone is in his fourth season at the helm of Texas Tech.

- Houston is 5-7 overall this season following a 3-1 defeat at Houston Baptist on Sept. 17.
- The Cougars are led by Abbie Jackson, who has 189 kills.
- David Rehr is in his first season as the head coach at Houston.
