SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word volleyball is set to play at crosstown rival UTSA on Tuesday night at 6 p.m. (CT).
THE CARDINALS
- The Cardinals had their best offensive match of the season against Niagara, tallying 58 kills. UIW was led by Bethany Clapp with 16 kills and Cameron Taylor with 14
- Clapp leads the team in kills (117) and aces (14).
SCOUTING THE ROADRUNNERS
- The UTSA is coming off of a three-game winning streak at the Tulsa Tournament, where they faced SIU Edwardsville, Tulsa and Houston Baptist.
- Brianna McCulloch leads the team with 106 kills on the season, averaging 3.66 kills per set with a .312 attack percentage.
- Defensively, Madeline McKay leads the team with 24 blocks, 18 of which are assisted
- UTSA is led by Head Coach Laura Neugebauger-Groff for the 18th consecutive season.
UP NEXT
The Cardinals travel to Lubbock, Texas, for the Red Raider Classic on Friday and Saturday (Sept. 20-21). They will face UTEP, Texas Tech and Houston in their final tournament before diving into Southland Conference play against Abilene Christian (Sept. 26).
