Box Score CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- The University of the Incarnate Word men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Tuesday afternoon.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Cardinals took the doubles point to open the match. Gabriel Evans and Sebastian Mortier topped Francois Kellerman and Okkie Kellerman, 6-3, in the No. 1 spot, while court three saw Dennis Boisseau and Oliver Valentinsson best Thibault Frumholz and Carlos Pedrosa, 6-4.
 
In singles, TAMUCC drew even with a win on court four before Paco Bendana's 6-1, 7-5 win against Thomas Rodriguez in the No. 3 spot regained the lead for UIW. TAMUCC used wins on courts one and two to take the advantage, but Valentinsson secured a three-set victory (5-7, 6-2, 6-4) over Frumholz in the No. 5 spot, leaving court six as the deciding factor. The Islanders then captured a three-set win on court six to knock off the Cardinals, 4-3.
