Cardinals fall to Sam Houston State in home finale

SAN ANTONIO -- The University of the Incarnate Word softball team fell to the Sam Houston State Bearkats in Saturday's home finale by a score of 9-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bearkats got out to a six-run lead in the top of the second and scored three more in the fifth to close out the 9-0 victory.

UP NEXT
The Cardinals head back on the road for a Tuesday doubleheader against Texas Southern before a Wednesday matchup against Texas in Austin.
