CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- The University of the Incarnate Word men's tennis team concluded its 2019 season on Friday when it suffered a 4-2 defeat to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center in the Southland Conference Tennis Tournament.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Islanders snagged the doubles point with wins on courts one and three to take a 1-0 match advantage. In singles, TAMUCC added a point with a win on court one, but Paco Bendana secured a 6-1, 6-2 victory in the No. 3 spot to cut into the lead.
 
A win on court two extended the Islanders' lead once again, but Dennis Boisseau's three-set victory (3-6, 6-1, 6-4) on court five kept the Cardinals in the match. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi then clinched the match and a berth in the finals with a triumph on court six.
