ABILENE, Texas -- The University of the Incarnate Word women's basketball team plays its final game of the 2018-19 season Saturday afternoon when they face off with the Abilene Christian Wildcats at 1:00 p.m. CT inside Moody Coliseum.
The Cardinals are looking to close out the season strong by claiming their sixth conference win after already surpassing last season's conference win total of four.

YEEEEAAAAAHHHHHHH BOWIEEEEEEEEEE
- This will be the final game in the collegiate career of redshirt senior Gabbi Bowie. The San Antonio native has sprinkled plenty of flava into the UIW offense in her last go around the SLC.
- She delivered a season-high 17 points and five assists to lead UIW to victory over Southeastern Louisiana (2/13).
- She followed that with a 17-point performance last week against Texas A&M-CC (3/2).
- Over her last seven games, she is putting up an average of 10 points, 3.7 assists and 3.1 rebounds. The highest scoring seven game stretch of her career.
- She has made at least one three in her last nine consecutive games, the longest streak of her career and the longest such streak of any Cardinal this season.
- Against Northwestern State, she delivered a career-high nine assists to go along with eight points and five rebounds.
- Against New Orleans, she scored 10 points on a career high 10 made free throws. She also dished out a then-career best seven assists and a season high three steals in the win.
- Against SLU, Bowie scored a season-best 17 points on a career-high 71.4 percent shooting (5-7).
- She played a career high 39 minutes against New Orleans. Since the beginning of SLC play, she is averaging 28.1 minutes played per game.
- She set new career highs for assists (57), shooting percentage (.331), three-point shooting percentage (.386), made threes (22) and free-throws made (44) this season, while scoring over 150 points for the second consecutive season.
I-MONEY ROBINSON
- Junior guard Imani Robinson continues to log major minutes for the Cardinals. Cementing herself as an all-around leader of the group.
- She has recorded 258 points and 127 rebounds this season, becoming the first Cardinal in UIW DI history to record at least 200 points and 100 rebounds in three consecutive seasons – first overall since Ifunanya Mora (2010-14).
- She scored a career-high 26 points earlier this season against UNO (1/26/19)
- She claimed her first double-double of the season two weeks back against SFA (2/23) giving her four-career double-doubles.
- Produced a season-best 11 rebounds in her last game against HBU (3/6).
- She has been getting to the line with great success in conference action, hitting 52 of 67 free throws (77.6 percent).
- Robinson has remained a constant all-around threat for the Cardinals. She leads or is among the leaders, in all major statistical categories including first in points (258) assists (65), steals (53), blocks (20), free throws made (73) and attempted (99). She is third on the team in 3pt made (23) and total rebounds (127).
- Against New Orleans (1/26/19), she hit career highs in points (26) and steals (6). With that, she became one of just five SLC student-athletes to record six or more steals in a conference game at the time.
- She became the first Cardinal this season to record three or more blocks in a single game when she swatted three shots at New Orleans (2/2/19). She got three blocks again last week, at SFA (2/23).
WELL, IF THEY'RE FREE…
- The Cardinals have been working hard on their free throw shooting in conference play, raising their free throw percentage by an impressive 13.3 percent from where it was in non-conference.
- As a team, UIW is shooting 74.5 percent in SLC action (271-364), the third highest percentage in the conference.
- Against New Orleans (1/26/19), UIW hit 31 of 41 shots from the charity stripe, the most made free throws in a single game since Nov. 20, 2013 (34).
- They repeated that feet in their last game, when they shot 31-36 from the line against NSU.
- The Cardinals have now shot 75 percent or better in eight of their last ten games.
- In their last eight games, UIW has shot 81.3 percent from the line (122-153), the best free-throw percentage in the conference.
SCOUTING ABILENE CHRISTIAN
- The Wildcats enter play looking for their 13th SLC victory of the season and 20th overall win.
- They have won their last three home conference games and hold a 5-3 home record in conference play.
- They are led by junior combo guard Dominique Golightly, who is averaging over 15 points per game in SLC action.
- This is the second meeting between UIW and ACU this season. The Wildcats took the first game, in San Antonio, 71-50 (2/16).
