WACO, Texas -- The University of the Incarnate Word men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to No. 35 Arizona State on Friday at the Hurd Tennis Center on the Baylor campus in Waco, Texas.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The teams started the match in singles-first, clinch-clinch fashion. The Sun Devils jumped out and quickly secured victories on courts three and two before a win on court five game them a 3-0 lead.
Sebastian Mortier battled hard on court one but came short as the 55th-ranked tennis student-athlete in the nation secured a 6-4, 6-2 win in the No. 1 spot to earn the win for ASU.
UP NEXT
UIW begins conference action on March 31, hosting Nicholls in a Senior Day contest at the Mabry Tennis Center. The dual is slated for 11 a.m. (CT).
