SAN ANTONIO -- The University of the Incarnate Word men's tennis team bested Bucknell, 6-1, on Sunday afternoon at the Mabry Tennis Center.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Cardinals made quick work of the doubles matches. On court one, Sebastian Mortier and Gabriel Evans topped Marwan Abaza and Max McDonald, on court two Paco Bendana and Caleb Dyer defeated Andrei Vitiuc and Alex Pedrazzini, and in the No. 3 spot Oliver Valentinsson and Dennis Boisseau beat Ethan Jacobs and Ryan Jurist. Each court won by the score of 6-4.
 
In singles, the Cardinals surged ahead, winning five courts. Bendana defeated Abaza by retirement. Evans then won over McDonald (6-1, 6-2) in the No. 2 spot, while Valentinsson beat Pedrazzini (6-3, 6-2) on court six. Mortier (6-2, 6-4) and Boisseau (7-5, 6-3) also secured victories on courts one and five, respectively, as UIW closed out the 6-1 win.
