LAKE CHARLES, La. -- The University of the Incarnate Word women's tennis team fell to McNeese University, 7-0, on Friday to open up Southland Conference play.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
Alejandra Landaluce battled through on court four against her McNeese opponent, toughing out two sets but ultimately falling 7-5, 7-5.
 
Jelena Dordan also brought heat to court one, encountering a narrow loss in the first set 6-4. In the second set Dordan fought through, but was unable to secure a team point to fall 6-3.
 
UP NEXT
The Cardinals remain in Louisiana to take on Southeastern Louisiana University on March 3. Matches are slated to begin at 11 a.m. (CT).
