SAN ANTONIO -- The University of the Incarnate Word men's tennis team defeated Trinity, 7-0, on Friday afternoon at the San Antonio Country Club.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Cardinals secured the doubles point first. Dennis Boisseau and doubles partner Oliver Valentinsson bested Artur Zigman and Tilden Oliver, 6-3. After Trinity won on court two, Sebastian Mortier and Gabriel Evans defeated Wilson Lambeth and Jordan Pitts in the No. 1 spot (7-5) to capture the point for UIW.
 
In singles, UIW won on all six courts. At the No. 1 spot, Mortier took a double-bagel with a dominating, 6-0, 6-0, performance over Pitts. Evans was victorious at No. 2 against Lambeth (6-2, 6-4), while Bendana beat Hamilton, 6-2, 6-2, on court three.
 
On court four, Boisseau secured a win over Cameron Krimbill, 4-6, 6-4, 12-10. Court five saw Valentinsson beat Jace Akagi-Okuma, 6-3, 6-3, while Caleb Dyer won against Oliver (6-2, 6-2) on court six.
