SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word volleyball team is on the road against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at the Dugan Wellness Center on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. (CT).
THE CARDINALS
- Bethany Clapp leads the team with 190 kills.
- Defensively, the Cardinals are led by Alyssa Carlin with 242 digs and Mckayla Landreth with 55 blocks at the net.
- Freshman setter Presley Blaylock had a season-high 44 assists against Central Arkansas (Oct. 3). She has a team-best 172 assists this year.
SCOUTING THE ISLANDERS
- The Islanders are 7-0 when playing the Cardinals in Corpus Christi, Texas.
- TAMU-CC is 2-3 in conference play with wins against Central Arkansas and Southeastern Louisiana.
- Texas A&M-Corpus Christi is led by Chole Simon, who has 154 kills to average 2.3 kills per set.
- Defensively, they are led by Carissa Barnes, who has 343 digs, and Sam Dumity, who has 30 blocks in 68 sets played.
