- UIW heads into the game after defeating No. 25 Houston Baptist, 38-36, on the road on Oct. 5.
- Jon Copeland threw for 342 yards against the Huskies, completing three touchdown passes. This marks his second game this season with over 300 yards. He has seven outings with 300+ yards in his career.
- Louis Otis' interception against the Huskies put UIW at the top of the league and third in the FCS for most interceptions (9). With this interception, the Cardinals have forced a turnover in 17 consecutive contests.
- Kevin Brown leads the Cardinals with 301 rushing yards this season.
- Kam Williams ranks eighth in the FCS with 495 receiving yards this season.

SCOUTING THE LIONS (3-2, 2-1 SLC)
- Southeastern Louisiana has the second-best passing offense in the league with a 64.7 passing percentage (130-201-4). The Lions average 328.6 yards per game.
- The Lions are dangerous when they have the ball in the red zone, scoring 18 out of 19 times with 13 touchdowns, five field goals and zero turnovers. Their red zone offense ranks seventh in the FCS.
- Southeastern Louisiana is led by Chason Virgil, who has completed 117-of-183 passes for 1,445 yards. He has 10 touchdown passes and just four interceptions.
