SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word women's soccer team continues its homestand weekend, hosting the Northwestern State Lady Demons in a 12 p.m. CT match on Sunday. Admission is free for all UIW home soccer matches.
THE GAME
UIW AT HOME
The Cardinals have been lights out thus far in Southland Conference play, standing with four consecutive wins for a 4-0 league mark. Goalkeeper
Cailey Croson has played in all four SLC matches and has held all four opponents scoreless – she has faced 30 shots and accumulated 17 saves in almost 365 minutes of play.
UIW is fresh off a 2-0 win against Central Arkansas (Oct. 4) where the Cardinals put up 21 shots with 14 on target.
Keeley Ayala has led the offensive strike for UIW; she has 17 points from eight goals in38 shots (20 on goal). Ayala is the sharpshooter responsible for all four of UIW's penalty kick goals.

Eve Clarkson on the defensive line have been fine-tuning their approach to clear advances, allowing nothing past them.
SCOUTING THE LADY DEMONS
Northwestern State (5-6-1, 2-1-1 SLC) comes into Sunday's match after a 1-1 tie against Abilene Christian University (Oct. 4). In this game, the Lady Demons played through two overtime periods, recording18 shots and six corners.
NSU goalkeeper Kayla Bomben showed out in the match and put up an impressive 12 saves, recovering after an early first period goal and not allowing anything else past her line.

The Cardinals head out to Houston on Oct. 11 to face Houston Baptist University at 5 p.m. CT.
