SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word volleyball team is set to host a pair of Southland Conference matches this weekend, first against Central Arkansas on Thursday night at 6 p.m. (CT) and then against Northwestern State on Saturday at noon. Both contests will be in the McDermott Center.

THE CARDINALS
- UIW is 4-12 overall this season with a 0-2 conference mark.
- Last time out, the Cardinals fell (3-0) at Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, Texas.
- Bethany Clapp leads the team with 180 kills and has a .209 attack percentage.
- Alyssa Carlin has a team-high 232 digs, averaging 3.93 digs per set, while Carissa McGarity has 46 blocks.

SCOUTING CENTRAL ARKANSAS
- Central Arkansas is 6-9 overall with a 0-2 mark in conference play.
- Abbie Harry leads the Sugar Bears with 193 kills and has a .109 attack percentage.
- As a team, UCA has a .188 attack percentage.

SCOUTING NORTHWESTERN STATE
- The Lady Demons hold a 9-7 record and are 1-1 in Southland Conference action after a 3-1 victory over Houston Baptist on Sept. 28.
- Hannah Brister leads Northwestern State with 227 kills and has a .245 attack percentage.
- As a team, NSU has a .200 attacking percentage.
