THIBODAUX, La. – The University of the Incarnate Word volleyball team hits the road again, this time traveling to Nicholls for a 10 a.m. (CT) contest on Saturday.
 
THE CARDINALS

• UIW is 4-15 overall with a 0-5 mark in Southland Conference action after falling, 3-0, at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Tuesday.
• Julia Monday had her eighth double-digit kill match of the season against the Islanders, posting 13 kills. Monday ranks second on the team with 179 kills.
• Alyssa Carlin leads UIW with 251 digs, while Carissa McGarity has a team-best 56 blocks.

 
THE COLONELS

• Nicholls holds a 9-7 overall mark and a 3-2 record in SLC action after a 3-1 victory over Abilene Christian on Thursday night.
• Katie Jones has a team-high 164 kills, while Emily Gauthreaux follows with 162 kills.
• Five Colonels have over 100 kills this season. In addition to Jones and Gauthreaux, Aaliyah Burras has 141, Kate Hoerdemann has 127 and Jackie Alanis has 107.

 
UP NEXT
UIW returns home to the McDermott Center on Oct. 17 to face Houston Baptist. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
