SAN ANTONIO -- The University of the Incarnate Word football team has set its football home game promotions schedule for the 2018 season.
 
"I'm excited about the promotions our marketing staff has planned for this football season," said UIW head coach Eric Morris. "We have a lot of fun activities that really help represent the culture of San Antonio and the UIW community. I encourage fans to come early and enjoy the festivities before each game."
 
S&S Concessions is now the proud supplier of concessions for UIW Athletics. The new concessions will feature a broader menu and great pricing at select UIW Athletic events.
 
Sept. 15 vs. Stephen F. Austin – Home Opener – 6 p.m.
Fans receive a free replica field towel, featuring the camo end zones and turf at Metropolitan Methodist Hospital Field. All tickets are $10 to celebrate 10 years of UIW football.
 
Oct. 6 vs. Southeastern Louisiana – Taco Cabana Hispanic Heritage Day – 4 p.m.
Taco Cabana Hispanic Heritage Day is slated to feature activities and promotions to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Taco Cabana, the game's title sponsor, will be on site with student and in-game promotions.
 
Oct. 20 vs. McNeese – Sustainability/Green Game – 4 p.m.
UIW will provide giveaways that encourage sustainability.
 
Nov. 3 vs. Sam Houston – Homecoming/ Frost Bank Military Appreciation Football Game – 2 p.m.
The Cardinals will celebrate homecoming while acknowledging and thanking members of the United States Armed Forces. Through a partnership with Frost Bank, military members, both active and retired, receive free entry to all UIW athletics sporting events. Each military member can claim up to four tickets per event by contacting Assistant Director of Athletics/Ticket Operations Adam McKenzie at amckenzi@uiwtx.edu.
 
Nov. 15 vs. North Alabama – Alamo Heights Appreciation – 6:30 p.m.
UIW will host a carnival-style night prior to the game to celebrate the season.
 
"In addition to the traditional game day activities that Cardinal fans have come to enjoy, this season will feature an enhanced, family-friendly game-day experience that includes improvements to UIW's tailgating setup, along with the introduction of a carnival-style fan zone located directly behind the east end zone," said UIW Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement Zachary Carlton.
