SAN ANTONIO -- Frost Bank and the University of the Incarnate Word athletics department have partnered together to create the UIW Athletics Salute to Service Program Sponsored by Frost Bank.
 
"The University of Incarnate Word is ranked among the top leaders for universities offering the best services for active-duty and veterans," said UIW Director of Athletics Dr. Brian Wickstrom. "I am very thankful for the partnership with Frost Bank and their willingness to provide tickets for active and retired military to attend any home sporting event at UIW."
 
This partnership provides free entry to all UIW Athletics sporting events for all military members, both retired and active. Each military member can claim up to four tickets per event by contacting Assistant Director of Athletics/Ticket Operations Adam McKenzie at amckenzi@uiwtx.edu.
 
Frost Bank also becomes the title sponsor to all UIW military appreciation games. The football game against Sam Houston on Nov. 3 will be known as the Frost Bank Military Appreciation Football Game. This game will also be UIW's homecoming game.
 
"Frost Bank is honored to be a sponsor of the wonderful program UIW is creating for our military veterans.  Frost has been a part of the community for 150 years, and we're celebrating our 150th anniversary by giving back to the community through opportunities such as this," stated Marvin Rickabaugh, San Antonio Regional President. 
 
UIW lies at the heart of Military City U.S.A. and has been a strong supporter of military members and their families for decades. UIW has been recognized time and again as a military-friendly university, garnering a number of national awards since 2013. Under Wickstrom's leadership, the department is making a strong push to increase that support.
 
From military appreciation games in all major sports to camouflaged end zones with "Military City U.S.A." emblazoned on the new football turf at Gayle and Tom Benson Stadium, UIW strives to show support for those who have dedicated their lives to serving our country.
 
Frost Bank has been a pillar of the San Antonio community and a strong supporter of military members and their families for 150 years. This partnership provides both Frost Bank and UIW Athletics with an opportunity to work together to honor military members and their families.
