SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Fresh off playing spoiler and earning their first Southland Conference win of the season, the University of the Incarnate Word men's basketball returns home to face HBU Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m.
FIRST TIP
The game will be Rally Red, where fans are urged to wear red for the game. Free red T-shirts and free pizza will be handed out to UIW students. The night will also be Greek Night.
UIW commands the all-time series with the Huskies, 20-4, but HBU has won the last two matchups, including a 102-86 victory in Sharp Gym in Houston on Jan. 24. The final score marks only the second team to score triple digits on the Cardinals this season, with then-No. 15 Gonzaga being the other.

Summary: UIW snapped its 17-game losing streak with a gritty 69-62 win at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Saturday afternoon.
Jorden Kite's three-pointer with 1:12 left in regulation turned a two-possession game into a nine-point Cardinal lead, all but clinching the win.
On the season,
Charles Brown III, who earned Honorable Mention SLC Player of the Week honors for the second time this season, ranks 15th in the SLC with 13.7 points per game, while his 14.8 points per contest in conference play puts the junior transfer 14th.
Shawn Johnson has been a workhorse for the Cardinals this season: T-5th in blocking (1.5), T-12th in steals (1.5), T-10th in rebounding (6.3), and 9th in 3-pointers made per game (2.1). His 31.8 minutes per game ranks him 9th in the conference. Despite missing seven games this season due to injury,
Devin Wyatt is still in the Top-10 in blocking (1.4).
Christian Peevy's 83.9 free throw percentage ranks him 3rd overall and is a big reason why UIW leads the conference in that category (73.8). The Cardinals are 2nd in blocks (4.96), 11th in scoring margin (-7.2), and last in rebounding margin (-4.0).
