Head Coach: Ken Burmeister

Summary: Despite a season high in points for the second-straight game from
Sam Burmeister (19), a season-high five blocks for
Devin Wyatt, and a career high in points for
Augustine Ene (13), UIW could not snap its losing streak, as it lost 66-54 to Northwestern State Wednesday night. A Burmeister three-pointer with 3:14 to go in regulation cut the deficit to four, but the Cardinals didn't get on the board the remainder of the game.
On the season,
Charles Brown III ranks 16th in the SLC with 13.5 points per game, while
Shawn Johnson is 26th with 11.5. While Johnson's scoring average is down from a season ago, the senior from New Orleans has done it all elsewhere for the Cardinals. He is T-6th in blocking with Wyatt (1.5 bpg), T-9th with 1.6 steals per game, and is T-8th with 2.1 three-pointers made a game.
Christian Peevy ranks 3rd in the conference with a 83.9 free throw percentage and is a big reason why the Cardinals lead the SLC with a 73.7 percentage from the charity stripe. The Cardinals are 2nd in blocks (5.16), 12th in scoring margin (-7.8) and last in rebounding margin (-4.4).
