Men's soccer falls to Seattle University
SEATTLE, Wash.-- The University of the Incarnate Word men's soccer team fell, 3-1, against Seattle University on Sunday afternoon at Championship Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF:
The Cardinals struck first two minutes into the game when
Antonio Savi scored his sixth goal of the season. He was assisted by
Kas Van Eekelen and
Tristan Brouwer, putting UIW up 1-0. The Redhawks quickly came back with a goal of their own in the third minute, tying the game 1-1. Seattle scored two more goals to end the first half, bringing the score to 3-1 in favor of Seattle.
SECOND HALF:
Seattle continued to attack offensively but UIW's strong defense held them scoreless in the second half. Neither team scored in the second half, and Seattle secured the 3-1 win.

UIW: 2-13-1
Seattle U: 12-6
UP NEXT
The Cardinals conclude their season against the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley on Nov. 3. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. (CT) at the UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex.
