NEW ORLEANS, La. – The University of the Incarnate Word men's basketball hits back on the road to take on the reigning Southland Conference tournament champions, New Orleans, on Saturday from Lakefront Arena. The game will be streamed live on ESPN3 with a first tip scheduled for 6:32 p.m.
FIRST TIP
UIW leads the all-time series, 3-1, but New Orleans won the most recent meeting, 87-72, on Jan. 7, 2017, in San Antonio.
UIW and UNO have played four common opponents: Lamar, McNeese, Stephen F. Austin, and Central Arkansas. In those four games, UIW is 0-4 and UNO is 2-2, with wins over Lamar and McNeese.

Summary: Charles Brown III and
Keaton Hervey combined for 63 percent of UIW's points in the Cardinals' 90-69 loss to visiting Lamar Wednesday night, the eighth-straight loss for the red and black. For the second time in the last three games, Brown III tied his career high of 24 points, while Hervey dropped a career-best 20 coming off the bench. Not to be outdone,
Konstantin Kulikov tied his career highs in points (6) and blocks (2), while setting a new high in minutes played (17).
On the season,
Shawn Johnson is T-9th in the conference in rebounding (6.5) and T-6th in blocks (1.6). Brown III is T-15th in scoring (13.3) and he and
