SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The University of the Incarnate Word women's soccer team opens Southland Conference play hosting Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Friday evening, September 15, at 7 p.m. from Benson Stadium. The Cardinals conclude the weekend at UT-Rio Grande Valley Sunday at 1 p.m.
OPENING KICK
For the first time in four years, UIW is fully eligible to compete for Southland Conference and NCAA Tournament championships, so the Cardinals are eager to begin conference play.
UIW is 1-0-1 all-time against TAMUCC and are 1-1-0 against UTRGV. UT-Pan American and UT-Brownsville merged four years ago to become the UTRGV Vaqueros. The Cardinals are 1-0-0 against UTB and 0-1-0 against UTPA.
