Summary: Florida is a team that is currently receiving votes in the most recent national poll, but was ranked as high as fifth earlier this season. The Gators had lost four of their last five games, but got back on the right track following a 72-63 win over James Madison Wednesday night behind a 19-point, seven-assist, and three-steal performance by Chris Chiozza.
On the season, Jalen Hudson (18.6) and Chiozza (5.8) are each second in the SEC in points per game and assists per game, respectively. Chiozza is fourth in the conference with 1.7 steals per contest. As a team, the Gators are second in the conference with 85.7 points per game and sixth with 37.9 rebounds per contest.

Shawn Johnson became the 16th member of the 1,000 Point Club, but UIW dropped a 72-66 decision at UTEP Tuesday night in a game which featured eight lead changes and five ties. The Cardinals were plagued by a season-high 25 turnovers resulting in 32 Miner points.
On the season, Johnson is third in the Southland Conference with 2.4 steals per game (T-19th in NCAA) and sixth with 1.5 blocked shots per contest. As a team, the Cardinals are ninth in the nation with 6.3 blocks per game, but of the eight teams ahead of them, only Tennessee has played in the same or fewer amount of games (9 gp; 6.4 bpg). Socks' 15.4 points per game ranks him 11th in the conference, while
Christian Peevy (12.6) and Johnson (12.1) are 20th and 21st, respectively. Johnson is sixth with 6.6 rebounds per game.
Jalin Hart's 5.0 assists per game rank him fifth in the SLC. When the Cardinals need to close out a game, they'll turn to Peevy (81.3) and Socks (79.6). As a team, UIW is ranked sixth in the SLC in scoring margin (+3.5) and 12th in rebounding margin (-3.6).
