SENIOR DAY PROGRAM
SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The University of the Incarnate Word volleyball team is prepared for competition on its home court against Abilene Christian University tomorrow at 7 p.m. The Cardinals will play their final home game of the season on Saturday at 11 a.m. against Sam Houston State University. The seniors will be recognized for their accomplishments and contributions to the volleyball program at the conclusion of the match.
OPENING SET
This will be the second time the Cardinals have seen both teams this season. Last weekend UIW suffered a four set loss against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
Abilene Christian enters the match 7-7 in the SLC and 11-15 overall. Jacey Smith led the Wildcats to a 3-1 victory over Lamar last match with 16 kills. ACU currently holds the eighth spot for advancement to the Southland Conference Tournament.
The Bearkats are 14-13 overall and 10-4 in conference play. Sam Houston State fell to Abilene Christian in three sets on Oct. 31. The Bearkats suffered a three set sweep to Stephen F. Austin in competition last weekend. Before facing UIW, Sam Houston will play Texas A&M Corpus-Christi.

SERIES HISTORY
The Cardinals and the Wildcats are prepared for their tenth all-time matchup. UIW currently leads the series 5-4. Abilene Christian took a four set victory over UIW in competition on Oct. 21.
This will be the sixth matchup all-time between the two schools as Sam Houston State Currently leads the series with four wins over UIW's one. The Bearkats beat the Cardinals 3-1 earlier this season in Huntsville, Texas.
