Cardinals Travel to Central Arkansas, Northwestern State

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -  The University of the Incarnate Word women's soccer team will travel to both Central Arkansas and Northwestern State this weekend for their 1st away game series of the season.

OPENING KICK

The Cardinals (2-5-1) played their best two games of the season this past weekend, taking the win at home in both games. They beat Southeastern Louisiana 2-1 and Nicholls 3-0. Central Arkansas (8-3-0) have won their past three games, two of them being on the road. Northwestern State (5-5-0) have won their past two games, both of them being on the road.

SERIES HISTORY

This is not the first time that these teams will play each other. The last time the Cardinals and the Bears matched up, UIW came out on top winning 1-0. As for the Lady Demons, last season the game ended in a -0-0 tie.

UP NEXT

Following this weekends games, the Cardinals will be back at home to play Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Friday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. at Benson Stadium.
