SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Due to inclement weather and excessive lightning, the University of the Incarnate Word women's soccer team was forced to postpone its matchup against Nicholls State University until 11 a.m. on Monday at Benson Stadium.
 
After a lengthy lightning delay on Sunday, the Cardinals (2-5-1, 1-1 SLC) and Colonels (3-3-1, 0-1-1 SLC) made it through 18 minutes of action before play was halted for good.
 
Per NCAA rules, the teams will begin tomorrow's contest with a clean slate play a full 90 minutes of regulation.
