SAN ANTONIO, TX – On Saturday, the University of the Incarnate Word volleyball team will host Abilene Christian in a Southland Conference matchup starting at 11 a.m. in the McDermott Center.
The Cardinals (4-9, 1-0) are 2-1 so far this season at the McDermott Center and the team will be looking to snap a four match-losing streak. The UIW attack is averaging 10.8 kills per set with a .168 attacking percentage and
Autumn Lockley (Leander, TX/ Leander) leads the Cardinals with 3.58 kills per set.
Bryaunea Hall (Copperas Cove, TX/ Copperas Cove) is also playing well for the Cardinal's attack and she is averaging 2.20 kills per set with a .252 hitting percentage.
Madison Williams (New Braunfels, TX/ Canyon) leads UIW with 7.35 assists per set and
Shaina Garza (San Antonio, TX/ Warren) is the team's top defender with 2.93 digs per set.
Abilene Christian enters Saturday's matchup on a seven match losing streak and the team has struggled on the road. The Wildcats are 1-14 on the season and they make a stop in Corpus Christi, TX on Thursday before coming to San Antonio, TX on Saturday.
