AUSTIN, TEXAS – The University of the Incarnate Word women's track and field team closed out the Nike Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Saturday with a pair of school records at Mike A. Myers Stadium. (Final Results)

The 4x200-meter and 4x800-meter relay teams each smashed the previous school marks.  LaShawnda Simmons, Ashley Joyner, Jane Arinze and Jasmine Waring ran a time of 1:38.83 in the 4x200 while Dominique Allen, Keila Rodriguez, Vivian Diaz and Katherine Ramirez clocked a 9:19.65 in the 4x800.

The final competitor of the meet for the Cardinals was Sarea Alexander.  She ended up sixth in the long jump with a mark of 19-6.25, the second best of her career and third best in school history.

The Cardinals are back in action next weekend in their own UIW Invitational on April 8-9 at Benson Stadium.
