HOUSTON, TX – The University of the Incarnate Word volleyball team is set for the final road trip of the season starting with a matchup against Houston Baptist on Thursday at 7 p.m. in Sharp Gym.
OPENING SET
The Cardinals enter play with a two match-winning streak after defeating Nicholls and McNeese at the McDermott Center. UIW is currently in a three way tie for Sixth place in the Southland Conference standings and they have a chance to have a winning road record if they can win one of the two remaining matches.
Houston Baptist is on a three match-losing streak although they sit fifth in the conference standings. The Huskies are hard to beat in Sharpe Gym as they have a 9-5 record at home and their attack is averaging 13.2 kills/ set with a .209 attacking percentage.
