SAN ANTONIO, TX – The University of the Incarnate Word volleyball team will host Stephen F. Austin on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the McDermott center. The Cardinals are looking to snap a four match losing steak against Southland Conference opponents.
 
THE OPENING SET
 
The Ladyjacks suffered their first conference loss on Thursday night in a 3-0 defeat against Texas A&M – Corpus Christi. Coming into the match, Stephen F. Austin is 0-4 on the road so far and the team is second in the conference standings behind the Islanders.
 
Sarea Alexander is coming off a great performance for the Cardinals were she had a team high 12 kills to go along with a career high 12 blocks. Alexander now has two matches this season with 10 or more blocks with the other coming against Alabama.

The Ladyjacks currently lead the all time series with a 4-2 record against the Cardinals. Earlier in the season, Stephen F. Austin defeated UIW 3-0 in Nacogdoches, TX while the Cardinals defeated the Ladyjacks 3-2 to finish the 2015 campaign.
