SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – The University of Incarnate Word volleyball team will finish up the 2015 season this week with two matches on the road.  First, the team travels to Natchitoches, LA to take on the Northwestern State Demons on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and then they continue on to Stephen F. Austin for a noon start on Saturday.
         
For the season, Autumn Lockley (Leander/Leander HS) leads the UIW attack averaging 3.15 kills/set with a .240 attacking percentage.  Bryaunea Hall (Copperas Cove/Copperas Cove HS) will be another Cardinal to keep an eye on over the final two matches as she is averaging 2.24 kills/set with a .213 attacking percentage.  Directing the UIW attack will be Taylor McClelland (Cypress/Cypress Ranch HS) and Kaitlyn Brooks (Sugar Land/Fort Bend Austin HS) who are averaging 5.33 and 5.08 assists/set, respectfully.  As a team, the Cardinals (7-16, 5-9) are averaging 12.8 kills/set with a .193 attacking percentage on the season.
 
On Thursday evening, UIW will match up against Northwestern State for the second time this season. Earlier in the year, the Cardinals defeated the Demons at the McDermott Center as Lockley led the Cardinals to a 3-2 victory with 18 kills. So far on the season, the Demons a have record of 6-21, 4-10 and the team is currently on a three match losing streak and has failed to win at least one set in the past three matches.

Leading the Demons offensively is junior Lauren Agan who is averaging 2.72 kills/set.  Glynna Johnson is another player to watch for on the attack as she is averaging 1.84 kills/set. Natalie Jaeger is the Demons main setter and she leads the team with 6.0 assists/set.  Baily Martin contributes 3.50 digs/set. As a team, the Demons are averaging 10.7 kills/set with an attack percentage of .169.
         
The Cardinals finish off the 2015 campaign with a match against Stephen F. Austin on Saturday afternoon. So far on the season, the Ladyjacks have a record of 19-12, 10-4 and the team has won four out of their last five matches.

Their last time out, Stephen F. Austin defeated Northwestern State, 3-0. Leading the Ladyjack's attack is Justice Walker who is averaging 2.77 kills/set.  Jacque Allen is also having a productive season as she is averaging 2.46 kills/set. Directing the Ladyjack's attack will be Shannon Connell who is averaging 9.59 assists/set and the defensive specialist for the team is OJ Olson who is averaging 5.16 digs/set.
