SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS--The University of the Incarnate Word women’s soccer team will play a makeup game against Sam Houston State, Sunday at 1 p.m. at Benson Stadium. The game, originally scheduled for Oct. 23, was moved to Tuesday due to rain. Tuesday’s date then got cancelled for school security reasons. Although the game had initially been cancelled, playoffs seeding is still an issue for the Bearkats, so the two teams will complete the game tomorrow. The Cardinals (3-13-2, 1-7-2) are not eligible for the tournament until 2017, but the Bearkats (8-6-3, 5-3-2,) currently sit in fourth place with 17 points. A win for SHSU Sunday could tie them with Southeastern Louisiana for third, before the Southland Conference tournament next week.
