Women's Soccer Heads East

LAKELAND, FLORIDA – The University of the Incarnate Word women's soccer team heads to Florida this weekend for a pair of away fixtures at Florida Southern College and Rollins on Friday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 11 a.m., respectively.

Although it may be unlucky for some, this Friday the 13th will see the UIW women's soccer team go on the road for the first time this season to face Florida Southern.  Coming off of four impressive wins to start the season puts the Cardinals in good stead against the Moccasins, who have not been as successful with a 0-2 record.

In two tightly fought contests the Moccasins held their own against top NCAA Division II sides, with goal keeper Erin Moseley making a career high of 10 saves in the season opener.  Despite some disappointing results for the Mocs, it appears that the Cardinals may not have it easy, especially on away turf.

The Cardinals are back in action in Florida again this weekend as the play Rollins College on Sunday.
