Women's Basketball Heads to Angelo State

SAN ANGELO, TEXAS – The University of the Incarnate Word women's basketball team travels to Angelo State University on Saturday at 2 p.m. for their final game before the Christmas break.

The Cardinals (6-4) and Belles (6-4) met earlier this year with Angelo State winning 58-43 at a Thanksgiving tournament in Canyon, TX. The Cardinals are averaging 65.3 points per game this year and have three players averaging in double figures. Rose Whitehead (Grapevine/Grapevine HS) leads the team with 14.5 points per game. Ify Mora (Grand Prairie/Arlington Bowie HS) is averaging 11.8 p
points and 7.9 rebounds per game. She needs just 16 points to reach 1,000 points for her career.

The Belles are averaging 59.3 points per game, but only allow 52.9 points per game. Hillari Adam leads the team with 14.5 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. She is shooting 51.5 percent from the field and 45.2 percent from three-point range.
