Three times a calendar year the student part of student-athlete comes to the fore at Incarnate Word. That is when athletes see the direct result of all their time management; they receive their diplomas from the University.
It happened again the first weekend of May when a host of Cardinals heard their names called, had their hands shaken by school officials, and were handed that piece of paper signifying their successful completion of a particular field of study. As athletes they achieved their own levels of success. As students they all excelled and now can be declared official graduates of UIW.
