The Cardinals (2-1) are coming off a tough 70-69 loss to Our Lady of the Lake on Tuesday. The Cards fell behind by 19 points before mounting a great comeback that came up just short.

Ashlyn Green (Irving/Angelina JC) is averaging 5.3 steals per game. The team is shooting 36.7 percent from the field and averaging 64.7 points per game while giving up 56.3 points per game.
The Falcons (2-0) have defeated Abilene Christian and Sul Ross State to start the season. Taniqua Ards leads the team with 20.0 points per game while Teisha King and Briannah Matthews chip in 17.5 points and 10.0 points per game, respectively. Clarissa Davis leads the team with 10.5 rebounds per game. They are shooting 46.2 percent from the field and averaging 89.5 points per game while giving up 56.0 points per game.
