Incarnate Word's women's team traveled to Abilene for a Lone Star Conference matchup on Tuesday evening, defeating Abilene Christian University, 68-58.
The game had four lead-changes and while ACU led by 10 points at one point in the first half, the Cardinals were up by as many as 25 points in the second half as UIW improved to 8-5 on the year and 3-4 in LSC play.
Another factor in favor of UIW was a 21-to-10 turnover advantage.
Leading the way for the Cardinals was Jocelyn Jarmon who had a 13-point, 13-rebound double-double, although Ashlyn Green led UIW in scoring for the second straight game with 16 points and nearly had a double-double herself by getting 7 steals.
Ifunanya Mora had 15 points and point guard Katy Cooke had 9 points and four assists.
Incarnate Word returns to San Antonio this Saturday with a 2 p.m. LSC matchup against Angelo State University at the McDermott Center.
