After beating the Lions earlier in the season, 3-1, it looked like history was going to repeat itself when UIW took the first two sets of the match for a 2-0 lead. Unfortunately, the Cardinals just couldn't put the match away, falling to the Lions the next three sets for a conference loss.
The Cardinal offense was all about its senior players against Texas A&M-Commerce. Senior duo Daniella Vidaurri and Chelsea Grayson led the Cardinal offense with 16 and 15 kills respectively. Senior setter Sarah Nordman did her part, leading the Cardinals in assists with 31.
