The Cardinals got a much needed win on Saturday against Eastern New Mexico; sweeping the Zias in three.
The Cardinals went back and forth with the Zias for the first 12 points of set one before going on a 9-0 run led by senior middle blocker
Daniella Vidaurri. UIW had no trouble finishing off the set after Vidaurri's nine point serving streak.
Vidaurri continued her streak in the second set with the help of sophomore outside hitter
Elizabeth Soukup and the Cardinals went ahead of the Zias 9-2. UIW only allowed 15 Zia points in the second set - the lowest scoring set of the match.

Chelsea Grayson led the Cardinal offense with 11 kills and
Danielle Suarez, sophomore setter, led UIW in assists with 24. Leading the Cardinals in digs was junior libero
Lydia Werchan.
Anna Herr, senior middle blocker, was an integral part of the Cardinal defense with two solo blocks and one block assist. UIW ended the night with five total team blocks.
Junior outside hitter Amber Durand led the Zias in kills with13 and Kennedi Catano, freshman setter, led Eastern New Mexico in assists with 30. With 13 and 12 digs respectively, Durand and Dallas Russell, junior libero, led the Zias in digs.
The Cardinals take on St. Edward's on Oct.18 for a non-conference match up. Game time is set to start on 7 p.m. at the McDermott Center.
