Willis White

Willis White was hired as the Wide Receiver Coach/Pass Game Coordinator in January of 2023 under head coach Clint Killough. White came to UIW from Navarro Junior College where he served as the Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator.
 
2025 UIW Finish No. 3 in the conference in receiving yards. White coached 2-time All-American Jalen Walthall who was 4th in the country in reception per game, 10th in the country in receiving yards per game and finished the season No.2 in the conference in receiving yards
. After a great season, Jalen Walthall was invited to the East-West Shrine bowl game and officially received a 2026 NFL Combine invite.
 
2024 was a big year for White and the wide receiver room, finishing the season with FCS top duo in the country (Jalen Walthall, Roy Alexander). The two receivers combined for 185 receptions, 2,398 yards and a total of 30 touchdowns. Jalen Walthall and Roy Alexander also finished the season All-Americans. For the second season straight White coached the Offensive player of the conference and Walter Payton award finalist (Jalen Walthall). Nationally UIW finished the 2024 season Ranked No. 6 in the country and conference champs.

Nationally, UIW finished the 2023 season ranked No. 2 in total offense and No. 2 in receiving yards. White coached Brandon Porter, All-American, Southland Offensive Player of the Year, and Walter Payton Award Finalist, along with first team all-conference wide receiver Caleb Chapman. 
In 2022, White accepted the Offensive Coordinator/Assistant Head Coach position at Navarro Junior College. White led Navarro to be ranked as high as No. 5 in NJCAA polls and to the school's first playoff berth since 2018. Navarro finished the season ranked No. 12 in the nation. During that season the offense averaged 34.5 points per game and 428 yards per game, while being led by Junior College Heisman award finalist, Dane Jenstch (QB). White also coached the running backs, leading the room to multiple two 100-yard rusher games as well as leading, first and second-team all-conference backs, Tim Carter & TJ Snowden (RB). 

In 2020-2021, White accepted the Offensive Coordinator/Assistant Head Coach position at Cisco Junior College where he led the Wranglers to their first undefeated season and Conference Championship (all sports). During the 2021 season, the Wranglers also won the SWJCFC championship while finishing No. 3 in NJCAA National Rankings after a 7-0 overall record. White led the offense to 41 points per game and averaged 390 yards per game in the 2021 season.  
In 2019, White accepted the Wide Receiver Coach position at Cisco Junior College under head coach Ryan Taylor, where the Wranglers led the conference in receiving yards and were ranked number four in the nation in receiving yards. After the 2019 season, White sent three wide receivers off to play Division I football. 
During the 2018 season, White served as the wide receivers coach at Carver High School in Montgomery, Alabama

White was a team captain and the team's leading receiver at Alabama State University during the 2016 and 2017 seasons. Prior to attending ASU white attended Junior college in California at LA Pierce College.  
White earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations (2017) and a Master of Science in Applied Technology (2019) from Alabama State University.
